Cash Donations

Cash donations are gifts of money given to an organization, including payments made by cash, cheque, money order, bank draft, debit card, or credit card. These are distinct from gifts in kind, which involve goods or services rather than money.

The Lodge School Alumni Association Encourages Alumni Donations

Donations are the cornerstone of funding efforts for TLSAA. There is no donation that is too small to make a difference. Monetary Donations, Time, Professional Services, Goods and Product Donations are all welcome. If anonymity is preferred, we can accommodate those requests.  We offer appropriate tax reporting for the value of the donation.

Cash donations provide essential funding that supports the institution’s mission and enhances the student and alumni experience. The importance of these donations can be summarized as follows:

  • Funding Scholarships and Financial Aid: Alumni gifts are a major source of scholarship funds, making education more accessible and affordable for future students. Many alumni are motivated to give back specifically to “pay it forward” for the opportunities they received. In addition, many alumni would love to see our alma mater return to winning Barbados scholarships and Exhibitions and this will require funding
  • Response to Emergency Needs: Enable the association to respond quickly to immediate needs and opportunities.
  • Supporting Programs and Events: Donations enable the creation and expansion of enriching programs, such as mentorship initiatives, networking events, and study abroad opportunities, which enhance the value of the educational experience. Specific support regarding our sports teams can be addressed more promptly.
  • Improving Facilities and Technology: Alumni contributions help finance the construction and renovation of campus facilities and the acquisition of state-of-the-art technology, directly impacting the quality of education and campus life.
  • Providing Student Services: Funds from alumni are often allocated to vital student services, such as The Breakfast Programme, addressing the evolving needs of the student body.
  • Diversifying Revenue Streams: Relying on alumni giving reduces dependence on a single income source, providing financial stability and resilience for The Lodge School.
  • Enhancing Institutional Reputation: Strong alumni support boosts the institution’s reputation, signaling a vibrant, engaged community to prospective students and donors.
  • Easy Contribution Methods: Cash donations provide an easy, safe, confidential and secure method for alumni to be involved to the extent of their ability.
